Leaf Lace Hat Pattern

Remember my hat, I was knitting and unraveling. It is all in a ball form now.

I am starting it over tonight.

I tried to locate the original pattern I found on the web, but I found only a printed copy so here is what I have. Hopefully it will help you make the hat.

Legend:
"-" knit
"o" yarn over
"V" k2togeth
"W" s,s,k together trough bl
"M" s2t, k1, pass 2 over

NB: this is a pattern for knitting on circular needles in circle. If you prefer to knit with turning your work, the pattern will be different on every even row. This pattern works with a multiple of 12 stitches.

The pattern called for 8-10 repeats of the pattern below /CO 96 - 108-120 st./ for a HC of ... I do not keep this part of the pattern... I tried with 10 repeats and will now make 9.

Start with 1:1 k:p ribbing for 5-8 rows. Then start the pattern:

Row10: W, -, -, -, -, o, -, o, -, -, -, -
Row9: -, W, -, -, -, o, -, o, -, -, -, V
Row8: -, -, W, -, -, o, -, o, -, -, V, -
Row7: -, -, -, W, -, o, -, o, -, V, -, -
Row6: -, -, -, -, W, o, -, o, V, -, -, -
Row5: -, o, -, -, -, -, M, -, -, -, -, o
Row4: -, o, -, -, -, V, -, W, -, -, -, o
Row3: -, o, -, -, V, -, -, -, W, -, -, o
Row2: -, o, -, V, -, -, -, -, -, W, -, o
Row1: -, o, V, -, -, -, -, -, -, -, W, o

Knit the pattern above 3 times and then start decreasing.

Crown decreasing:
